Our core principle: Your photos and videos are encrypted on your device, and we never have access to your private content.

Information We Do NOT Collect

SnapLockr is designed with privacy at its core. We do NOT:

Access, view, or store your photos or videos
Store your passcode or encryption keys on our servers
Track your browsing history in the private browser
Collect personal identification information
Share any data with third parties for advertising

Data Storage and Encryption

Local Storage: All your photos, videos, and metadata are stored locally on your device.

Encryption: Your content is encrypted using AES-256 encryption, an industry-standard security protocol. The encryption key is derived from your passcode using a secure key derivation function (KDF), ensuring that only you can decrypt your content.

Biometric Data: If you enable Face ID or Touch ID, biometric authentication is handled entirely by your device's secure enclave. We never access or store your biometric data.

Information We May Collect

We may collect limited, non-personal information to improve the App:

Analytics Data: Anonymous usage statistics such as app opens, feature usage, and crash reports. This data does not include any personal information or content from your vault.
Device Information: General device type, OS version, and app version for compatibility and troubleshooting purposes.
Purchase Information: Subscription status is managed through the Apple App Store. We receive confirmation of your subscription status but do not have access to your payment details.

Break-In Detection Feature

When enabled, the break-in detection feature captures photos of failed login attempts. These photos are:

Stored locally on your device
Encrypted with the same security as your other content
Only accessible to you within the App
Never uploaded to any server

Private Browser

The built-in private browser:

Does not save browsing history
Clears cookies and cache when closed
Does not track your browsing activity
Images downloaded through the browser are encrypted and stored locally

Cloud Backup (If Enabled)

If you choose to enable cloud backup:

Your data is encrypted on your device before being uploaded
We use end-to-end encryption for cloud backups
We cannot decrypt your cloud backup - only you have the key
You can delete your cloud backup at any time from the App

Data Retention

Since your data is stored locally on your device:

You have complete control over your data at all times
Deleting the App will delete all locally stored data
We do not retain any copies of your encrypted content

Third-Party Services

The App may use the following third-party services:

Apple App Store: For app distribution and in-app purchases
Apple iCloud (optional): For encrypted cloud backup if enabled
Analytics (optional): Anonymous crash reporting and usage analytics

Children's Privacy

SnapLockr is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access all your data directly through the App
Export your photos and videos at any time
Delete all your data by uninstalling the App
Opt out of analytics in the App settings

We take security seriously and implement industry-standard measures:
